Hello there, i recently bought a 1999 zrx400 but i can't find a button to reset the mileage. I'm probably being daft but i just can't find any switches or buttons around the clocks? I know theres a fuel guage but i like to reset the clock each time i refuel, just to be sure. Can anyone help?
Thanks, John.

Hi, mate and welcome to :zrxuk:
Think we need a picture of the speedo! There are 2 sorts of 400s. Those with the square headlight in a small fairing and those without. Most have the fairing and on those it's pretty bl**dy obvious how to reset the trip! I reckon you have not got the original clocks, so piccie please

Hi John welcome to the club. Another 400 owner ;D Lets hope your "being daft" and that the small twisty thingy to reset your milage is on the left hand side of you clocks, it is really close to the fairing (if you have one) and i find it a right fidle to reset. In the conventional place.

Hi, thanks for the replies lads. Mine does have the fairing. After one of you said that its on the left side of the clocks ive just had a look. Theres a hole where it should be and a couple of scratches on the plastic beside :S never noticed that when i bought it. Someone must have taken it off or broke it. Hope i can replace it or fashion something that will do the job!

Thanks man, that's awesome. Really appreciate the help, what would be the best way to try and obtain these parts? With the bike being an import would it be difficult? I'm in Northern Ireland.

Those numbers work anywhere in the world, just about, so pop down to your local kawa dealer and he/she (hows that for PC) will order them for you.

just had another look around and you are lucky - they are common parts, not just the 400. Fitted to Zephyrs Vulcans and some ZX-7s
