Very similar bike to the GS500. I would have preferred a GPZ, but the GS turned up at the right time and the right price so the deal was done. I should imagine it handles like its on rails. My GS certainly does. Almost bought a GPZ from a local dealer. It had the same colour scheme as Dad's majestic grey, I think it was a 1992 model.

Have got a piccie of me on a GS500 somewhere that a got on loan when the GPZ wis gettin serviced, will need to try an find it an post it. anyway enjoy the Z

any luck on finding the pic yet? Bit of a contrast compared to a large rex i wud have thought. I find its a great bike once you have got past the 125 stage, for me it was past the 250 stage, u can get out of trouble quick enough, yet not get into to much trouble say as much as one might if one were on a ninja 6 for example........and as long as you don't fall off it!

I'm luckey enough to own a ZRX and a GPz500s They are of course two totally different bikes which is what makes the GPz sooo much fun. I daren't give the Rex too much of a thrashing it's just too quick (and heavy). The GPz on the other hand has to be thrashed to get the best out of it - it's above 7000 revs that the fun really begins. And all that without doing warp speed although it often feels like it. That's the point. You can have a whole lot of fun, thinking you're going fast when in reality, at least compared to the Rex you're only pootling. I seem to get more of a sensation of speed on that little bike than I ever do on the Rex. It handles pretty well too for a basic commuter bike especially on the right tyres. Michellin Macadams, same as Rex's only smaller are fitted to mine. Somebody once told me that if you own two bikes, you never get to ride either of them properly. I beg to differ. Both bikes require different riding riding styles to get the best out of them and I think overall It's made me a better rider having these two different bikes.
