Was talking to James today. Havnt seen him for a while. He's doing BSB again this year-hoping for a better season than 2007 when injury stopped him from defending his 2006 BSB Cup Championship. This year,he's riding an ex-Stobart Blade. The deal has been done, but the bike is currently in Australia at Phillip Island with Greg Lavillia, testing for WSB. As soon as they get the new WSB bikes,it will be shipped back here. He will be using his 2007 no1 bike as his 2nd bike this season. James had a further operation on the leg he shattered last year & its healing really well. He's working out in the gym to get up to fitness & coming out on his mountain bike, getting muddy with me! This season,he has some extra sponsorship from Q8 Oils & one or two other smaller sponsors. His main sponsors will still be Quay Garage & Harris Performance. He hopes to do a bit better now that everyones on the same tyres,so no special tyres for the factory teams(hopefully...). Well, thats it for now. Will let you know when anything new comes along.
Signing off . . . "Scoop" Snoopy . . . ;D

Good news indeed here's hoping he does well Not sure about the tire ruling, do you really think the "Factory Teams" will be on the same tires as James...... they are bound to get round that some how.

James has been told that ALL teams will have the same tyres-soft/med/hard for slicks & 2 compounds for wets. He says that Pirelli are a bit more honest about such issues . . . We will see . . .

Glad to hear he is going to be racing again this year. We shoudl all go visit him in the paddock area if we get a chance. Maybe he could fit a sticker on one of his helmets???
