132,435 fans take Donington to ten-year high. Despite some appalling British weather, and rider complaints about a treacherously slick surface, the 2007 British Grand Prix pulled in 132,435 spectators over the three days - marking Donington Park's biggest event in over ten years. Almost 85,000 fans watched world championship leader Casey Stoner win Sunday's race, compared to 68,000 in 2006.

I still can't get my head round what happened? Most had the soft compound tyres, and Stoner romps away like he's got a secret turbo fitted, or an extra cyclinder strapped on...and he suffers no tyre problems?? Rossi's tyre shredded... It look's like Rossi/Yamaha really DON'T have any answer to the Ducati any more

Everyone who wasn't riding a Ducati was more or less on a closed throttle round Macleans & very upright before adding power. The Ducatis, especially Stoner, were on part throttle all the way through the corner & were banging the throttle open while still lent over. I'm impressed with how well Stoner is doing but I do think a lot of it is the bike & I think he's doing better than Capirossi due to having more recently ridden a 250 as the style needed is similar ie. carrying lots of corner speed. I would recommend going to see them live as the noise the Ducatis make is unbelievable.
