I cant get windows media player to display anything, it just comes up on the task bar. Got lots of vids I wanna see on it but its impossible. It used to work Any ideas gratefully received.

The quickest fix is probably to re-install it. Latest version, Windows Media Player 10 here

If i'm right then at some time you've minimized it instead of closing it. A special feature of the latest version of media player is to minimize to the taskbar. See that square symbol on the bottom right corner? (That's the reason I posted the pic at double size.  ) Click that and it should maximize the window back to normal. Hope that works for you.

Yes Ive always been able to minimise the taskbar and it was always was ok til it went weird on me, now its the taskbar I can get and nowt else. If I click where you said it just changes to windows media player written on it......so my dear gremlin, back to the drawing board. Just had a thought, if it had accidently been uninstalled from computer would it still keep coming up like it is and still with my music on too? thanks
