:ten: I see you've already got the hang of posting pics then. That was a terrific bike in its day and I can see why you'd want one now. Good luck with your search.

Nowhere near up to the standard of that Gixxer, I also bought a bike brand new in 1986, the year I passed my test. It was a GPz400. Sold it in 1990 and often wondered where it got to. Thanks to my Son and some very devious friends ( you know who you are) I now have the very same bike as my latest project. I will eventually get the chance to bore everybody rigid with it in another forum. Just keep asking questions and sending PMs to be answered and that fate will continue to be delayed. ;D

I use to have a C plate by the time I'de finished with it the only oroginal parts left were the frame & tank . Had a five page spread in superbikes with it . They were looking for bikes that was done by yersen that most people could do and not cost a fortune , I owned up to not doing the paint job .

yes!! well done this is the next toy I am after!! but i am having trouble finding a UK one on a C or D plate, mk. II. If youre REALLY serious,my mate has a beautiful-dare i say mint-example for sale. It really is lovely. He's cherished it for years. He's just repainted the wheels a few weeks ago & put new tyres on it too. Its absolutely beautiful & totally standard. Its affectionatly known as "Bessie". I cant figure out why he cant sell it. Seems nobody wants them. Its a C reg & he had it up for £1500 about 6 months ago...now its down to under a grand i believe. If you really ARE looking for a lovely original early one,i can vouch for its condition. I can probably sort you some pics too...?
