Hi Guys,
I'm a ZRX 1200 owner from the US. Just about in the middle of the US to be sure... I live in Southern Missouri. It's about 40 miles from my home to the Arkansas state line. This area has hundreds of curvy two lane roads to enjoy. (and there's the straighter, divided highways that carry most of the traffic)
I'm a member of the ZRXOA and try to attend as many rides as possible. There are usually two in Eureka Springs, Arkansas per year.
I'd like to learn more about the UK and the bikes that are common there. I'd love to be able to get a ZRX 400. It sounds like a fun bike to rip around town. I have doubts about whether I'd be allowed to import one into the US. Have any of you ever heard of anyone doing that??? Let me know about any restrictions that you are aware of. I know that I'd be the envy of the crowd at the ZRX Rallys if I could show up with one..
I attached a pic of my new levers. It is certainly much nicer being able to use just a finger or two to clutch or brake... I really like these levers a lot...
Anyway, anyone wanting to email me can do so at t-bo@sbcglobal.net

hi TBo and welcome!
We've got a few members from across the pond and I'm sure you will come across them soon.
There's not many 400's around, but they do come up now and again. In fact my nipper is trying to get hold of one at the moment.
As well as the common "R" we have the exclusive "S" version which is a half-faired version. Have a look in the bike gallery.
There's loads of info on here, so pull up a chair open a tinnie and enjoy yourself

Welcome to the :uk: site I also frequent the OA site quite a bit (same handle there). Are you the same TBo that is on the OA? The folks here are just a bit more "genteel" than some of the scrappers on the OA. ;D You'll notice the presence of the "S" crowd here. Dimora on the OA has a green "S" model and a few others have looked into converting their's to "S" versions but its very hard (and $$) to get the parts. You'll also find that these characters often fall into some weird derivative of English that anyone other than someone from the same shire cannot possibly understand. When that happens I just mumble and pretend I know what's going on. Pull up a stool, pour yourself a and enjoy.

Yup! Just mumble and nod, though many of the posts are really interesting - like the Brakeline (I think) telling about having rotten milk spill all over his exhaust from his bags! :teaspit:
As a newby Canadian member myself I extend a hearty hello. This site does have a great bunch of folks, and the banter is different from the OA.
By the way, what is it with Americans and drag racing anyway?

I attached a pic of my new levers. It is certainly much nicer being able to use just a finger or two to clutch or brake... I really like these levers a lot... Errrrr..... Was there meant to be a pic attached to this post? I really hope those new levers are not of the chrome plated die-cast aluminium variety that have the same tensile strength as cheese. One of our number had a relatively minor accident recently when his clutch lever snapped while parking. I say relatively as his better half did manage to break her arm in the fall. Could very easily have been so much worse. Anyway. Horror stories over, welcome to the site Tbo. If you need help in posting pics, see >>> HERE <<< In the meantime, have a look around and prepare to be entertained ;D

its about no curvy roads for hundreds of miles in any direction. so the only thing left for fun is how fast can you get to the end of the straight line. also putting your skills of starting and making the first 60 foot the fastest you can do. and then you get to do it again and again

That's a good explanation, never thought of it like that before.
