The wife is having a Bike taster session this weekend! Is that dangerous or what? She does like being my pillion regularly, as long as I behave If she thinks she can have a go on my Rex she can do one.

Instructor head on to clarify for Brakey. Its called Get on and is a national scheme to encourage those who have always wanted a go to have a go on a 125cc or below. We do this at our place every Saturday to determine how many days course a pereson would need to successfully pass mod 1 and mod 2 tests, or just a CBT. Its free also

Get On is correct, took The Wife 6 months of dates offered to get a suitable date. She works some Saturdays so dates limited. So, she had the taster. I was not allowed to hang about and watch. She seemed to have done ok and will probably go for a CBT soon. She's still not having any of my bikes, perhaps the XBR if she gets that far.

Honda I think are still doing the CB125 on interest free credit. They hold their value well and are easy to sell on. I think that after 12 months we sold ours for a bit more than was owing on the finance so it worked out a bit like just hiring a bike for 12 months. We thought about one of the cheapo Korean copies but they are worth about as much as a bag of crisps second hand so decided against, plus of course you want to make it home if you go out!!!

Well she's got a bike. A Yammy YBR125 Cheapish. Blue with a little nose fairing, perhaps I should at least turn it green!

Ok I now have the little YBR at home, but before she's allowed to play out I need to do some tidying up. One thin I have noticed is a weeping fork seal and this is caused by cheap chroming on the forks, nice flake missing. Needs a rear tyre and a bit of touching up and that's it. So question is forks, do I replace or get them re-chromed? I'll make a new post. Cheers

tough decision there bb, chroming can be dear specially if they are in bad nick, need to be super polished with no blemishes so the chrome comes out smooth. Would look at both costs
