Got the MOT done today, while there I mentioned to the tester about fitting some new hoses.
He said to definitely get rid of the coupler under the headlight cowling as 2 hoses from the master cylinder WILL improve the braking.
Plus the ugly looking coupler can be removed so saves on cleaning and a tiny bit of weight.
I've been told to try a place in West Bromwich that make the hoses for formula 1 cars, they make them to measure and usually offer while you wait service. I've got Thursday off so if I get chance, I'll go over and find out the costs.

That coupler/splitter is the place I've moved my horn to, to get it out of the road crud.
I suppose it would be possible to leave it there, or mount the horn in its place if you went to the 2 line system.

To be honest, I love the 2 horns hanging off the radiator shrouds, they look purposeful.
Plus their damn loud aswell.

dont think it will impove the braking doing away with the coupler, braided lines an sintered pads worked for me .

I didn't think it would make any difference either, but this mot tester is an ex racer
Also I had the 2 front hoses connected to the master cylinder on my triumph and the brakes were amazing

I have the 2 brake hose set up i cant say if they make the braking better, its been a while since i fitted them but they work for me, and i think most people if they change the hoses go the 2 hose (race) set up.

Just looked online, Venhill are too expensive, HEL are giving 10% discount this month Venhill £175.51 for clutch and front and rear brakes HEL £98.90 for the same Massive difference Quick update, just ordered direct through Wezmoto on eBay, full setup colour matched to bike, stainless fittings included £83.39 Seems a great price and no ones got anything bad to say about the quality

Had Hel lines on mine for 4 years now with no issues at all. If i remember correctly there was a slight issue with the clutch line at the engine end, the angle was slightly wrong on the s/s fitting so i had to modify the round engine cover a tad to get it to fit properly. Should have been sorted by now tho i'd have thought.

The brake/clutch hoses arrived today, complete with stainless fittings, copper washers and a decent set of idiots guide instructions too. Not got a day off till next Friday though to try them out

have had no issues at all with the hel clutch line fitted in 2 Minuit's, once tank was off and i had a clear view, as for hel themselves, i thought a couple of years after fitting the front lines i thought they were leaking so contacted them, they send another set out right away with no trouble. It turned out the ones fitted were OK anyway so i had two sets, so sold them and made a profit. hel have a lifetime guarantee

Having a closer look at mine, the crimped ends say HEL and the banjos have H stamped into the ends and the rubber grommets fitted say HEL also, one of the reviews I read, said that the guy who owns the company lives next to the BF Goodrich factory, so not sure if he's getting the parts made for him on the side.
The rear brake hose is easily identified as its the shortest, the clutch also is easy cos it's miles long, the front brakes only have 1" difference though, which I thought would need to be much longer.
I finish work at 1400 today so if it's not howling down with rain I'll tape them in a rough position to make sure their long enough.

The hoses look pretty good for length
Anyone know the best way to route the front hoses? I've got them taped onto the old hoses at the caliper end and then fed up over a metal bar under the headlight, seems ok but not sure if that's the best way of routing them.
