Nice idea Brakey and we did discuss it. If it were a "B" model it would work, but this is a later "C" model and the engine is slung from the top tube as a stressed member whereas the 7R has a conventional frame

Engine well and truely out, had to order a few new bits and bobs related to the clutch first, but I think we might be tackling the gearbox side of things this weekend. The bike is so light without the engine in it.
Shame the TT was cancelled today, although think I have found my new favourite radio station. Manx Radio TT, from the interweb, is just amazing. Decent music and bike talk/light swearing all day long, superb!
