Now get this Ive a strange way of getting the bike to start first time as she's sometimes a pig after being stood for a while in the cold . Dont ask how i found this to work but it was the last resort after much head scratching :hmm: If i blow into the carb over flows gently and hear a squirt squirt of fuel the bike will start every time strange but true and god knows what or how its working but it does the job and the bike runs ok after as well Any idea what or why this should work and should i stop doing it

No way Brakey , i went out in the car this morning and black ice all over the place one particular junction i nearly skidded right out into oncoming traffic but thankfully the ole ABS on the diesel pump saved me I wont be going out on any of the bikes till it gets to at least 10deg more snow forcast so wont be able to test the tweeking ive done on the GPZ just yet .

I think we can close the lid on this one now . Today i had trouble starting her again but it was quickly sorted when i found a loose HT lead now thats screwed in its starting up cold and warm I mixed some redex in to a full tankload and off i went into the blinding sunshine Its all running great now and i was quite shocked at the performance Ticking over is spot on and ive got a crisp thottle response . Used up half a tank of fuel in 40 miles but i guess i was a bit heavy handed with the throttle thanks all
