..It happend again ! I took the Gpz out and decided to just stick close to home and give it a run, 15 min later fuel starvation with the fuel filter empty Having took note of what the helpfull bikers did i managed to get some fuel through to the filter and just enough to get me back home . Out with the spanners again and i took the petrol tap to bits to find all me make do bodge with gasket had blocked the tap inside Ive ordered a new petrol tap repair kit from MR KWAK at a very resonable £12.00 , seen them on ebay for £14.00 Ordered a new fuel filter as well to be on the safe side as its one of those original sealed ones on it at the mo .So the Zs off the road till wed but sure she will be running then

glad you are getting the right stuff to fix the fuel tap. Many moons ago a friend of mine blew himself up after bodgin a fuel leak, he was riding at the time when the blowing up occured Put an end to his biking days, fortunately he survived, now has a metal plate in his head. Wonder how he is doing now

Yes i thought id best get the proper parts especially how i could of easily been riding the bike and the fuel could have poured all over the hot engine Its only the fuel leakage from the tap kev and when i took the tap to bits i found bits of me gasket blocking the fuel pipes and filter Oh well it was me rushing about trying to do a quick fix on it at the time so i could ride it ..lesson learnt Should get the new seals wed so hopefully back on the road after some more spannering
