They dont cause any trouble untill the chain is worn when they start rattling on the clutch you are better off replacing the chain

hello, my better halfs(gail) 08 rex1200 tensioner failed at 5000 miles, i made an adjustable tensioner by modifing the old tensioner with a steel plate and a bolt just like the one you could by from an edinburgh man on ebay. dont know if he still does them, they are available from the usa as well

My bikes have been weekend toys, although like others in my younger years my bike was my only transport, so I had to ride in all weather conditions rain, sleet, snow and freezing f**cking cold Thanks for the heads up on the tensioner, will now check my clutch for any evidence of pitting Firmhand, What part of Oxfordshire are you in, as I am in Oxford too?

Moose, whilst looking for a Greg Couch fork brace made over in the States I came across the following and remembered your thread, it demonstrates the tensioner modification mentioned by others See video and full installation guide below product information kwickstand.net/Hyper-Formance.com/Tensioner_Tamer.html

Nearly stranded at Popham do yesterday, starter locked up, eventually sorted by rocking back and forth in gear (as opposed to in my chair) is this the much vaunted malaise of rex owners ? Garage day tomorrow to see, cheers
