At last. Somebody has managed to get a Rex into "Other Bikes."
I was out on Wednesday evening with a mate I haven't seen for a couple of years. His ex-girlfriend abducted him, fed him a diet of rich fatty foods so that none of his bike gear fits him anymore and then banned him from riding 'cos "motorbikes are dangerous".
Well, he escaped, not without mental scarring (forgotten how to ride his bike for a start and I'm not kidding ) and has since replaced all his kit and washed the dust off the bike.
So he's now good and ready for some two wheeled therapy.
Some of you may remember Marc, a onetime wannabe Rexer who even test rode mine on one occasion and then went out and bought a 'Busa.
Anyway, we went for the kind of ride where I led through all the corners and spent the rest of the time chasing him along the straights.
The following pics were taken outside Dominos Pizza in Warwick where we stopped for our evening meal.
I bet the locals thought that Dominos had begun to take "fast" food more seriously and were now using proper bikes instead of step thru's for their deliveries.
I really wish I'd have taken that photo of my Rex with a small pile of pizza boxes on my rear seat.
One thing that did strike me as being kinda odd, seeing the two bikes parked together like they were and them being similar colours is just how old fashioned Rex really looks. To the uninitiated Marcs' Busa must look like the updated version on my bike.
