I think?? Riding to work this morning 0815, chilly clear blue skies kinda morning, I reckon about 5'c. Anyways started my 400 up and as usual started on 3 then fired onto 4 after about 15 secs on choke, nothing unusual there! Ride to work is about 15 mins, 7/8 miles on mostly 60mph roads. Just before I pulled into the car park she dropped onto 3 cylinders and I couldn't get her back onto all four Locked her up, and at break I started her up, all four cylinders ;D , but just to make sure it was working properly I was revving her warming her up as if in a a GP paddock to annoy all the customers Even my gf who works in the coffee shop there said it sounded ok Did the same at lunch - all four Same at tea - all four Ride home all the way - all four Was it carb icing

Have ridden at less than +5 with no problems. REXes over here don't even come with the carb heater gear yours do, so I'm guessing that it is related to the combination of cool temperatures and moist air. Odd, though, even the bikes near the ocean here don't have the carb heater stuff.

Checking your plug leads and caps would be the place to start. My GPz occasionally misfires and I already know that's down to a corroded spring in one of the plug caps which I really MUST remember at the appropriate time and get it replaced. Corroded spring is preventing plug cap from gripping the plug properly and it's only the rubber insulator that prevents it from falling off altogether. If it's not your leads it might be a similar intermittent connection problem.

Cheers for the comments guys Yeah L/speed I have been riding her on sunny days during the winter which means cold, this winter especially, so 5'c could just have been that funny in between moist/cold/dry temp bikes hate. She was fine today, riding up to Loomies Cafe, fast motorway/A road for 60 mile round trip, just to add some more confusion, which usually means electrical. I hate electrical, was plagued with it on my GS500 for about a six month spell If it does it again I will investigate more, but for know I'm just going to , find some faith and
