Is there such a thing as an inline fuel cut off thingy i need one linked into my fuel pipe so that when i take the tank off the flow stops , the standard fuel tap does not have an off switch on the z650 . Any links to a product

Hi sparky, do you mean something like a quick release coupling ? If so, there are some available on the web from various sources. Some came up on ebay, motrax do one which I think you can get from stockists, others came up as well, they all look to be of a similar design but as usual the prices vary. Hope this will be of use to you.

If the standard tap doesn't have an "off" position, its may well be like the Suzuki GS500 tank. That has a tap that only has on, and reserve, but there is another petcock underneath the tank which needs a screwdriver to turn the fuel off. Just a thought, but it must be possible to take the tank off without having fuel all over the shop, or having to drain down first

Not so good Sparky, makes me wonder if the fuel tap has been replaced with the wrong one.
