I'm not surprised that there seems to be an affinity to dust. Seems like as long as there is an actual petroleum product film on the surface, dust will gather!

I had the same problem, after using the petroleum jelly the SREX was VV shiney. Yesterday after being parked up outside a layer of fine dust. Today however ;D ;D after a quick rain shower, the dust has gone and the shine is back. The rain has beaded well also so it looks like all is well

I had the same problem, after using the petroleum jelly the SREX was VV shiney. Yesterday after being parked up outside a layer of fine dust. Today however ;D ;D after a quick rain shower, the dust has gone and the shine is back. The rain has beaded well also so it looks like all is well I'm glad a few of you are trying it The good thing is, If it isn't to your liking, you can revert back to your personal faves, and it hasn't cost very much to experiment :broke: ..... but for me, it's honestly the best I've found and my bikes always look mint.....so I am a very happy bunny, and that's why I thought I'd pass on my secret. As stated previously, my Rex is garaged and only sees sunny weather unless I'm caught in a shower. On my previous bike, I commuted every day through all weathers and still used the same cleaning methods. Washing a bike??.......I have not used water/sponge/shampoo to clean a bike for as long as I can remember Any dirt is removed by furniture polish and lot's of soft dusters, or the Petroleum Jelly and dusters. If the bike get's rained on, most of the water and muck seems to bead off. I just use lot's of clean dusters and then re-apply the jelly. I basically LIKE cleaning and pampering my bikes, and am happy to devote a fair amount of time to the process. Likewise with the Pet Jelly, I don't mind a little extra dust, as I just give her a quick rub down with a fresh duster, and she looks stunning. The shine really lasts and it's worth a little effort. If you are happy/prepared to give the time to dusting her off, the Pet Jelly really works well, the finish is stunning and I think the results are astounding.....but if you are not, or simply don't have the time..... then there are faster products on the market. For me, it's perfect, hence my original post. That may all sound strange, but they are all tips I picked up in the bike trade, and I'd invite anyone to take a look at my bike and tell me the results don't work, in the circumstances in which I keep and ride my Rex Happy cleaning ;D

:agreed: A top tip, thanks FLOOG. As i said it made my screen look new, and indeed it was cheap, so i do not think it was a waste of money at all. Just for me a my Majestic Rex i will use my other polishes on the Tank, but the PP on other selected parts
