The clue is the colour scheme with regard to the ice cream link........... Remember the Suz GS1000 of the early 80's fondly known as the ice cream van? He is in fact entirely correct :ten: :ten: Well done Pho, go to the top of the class.

The CB1300SA SUPER BOL D'OR actually traces it's roots back to the 1979 CB900 Bol D'or and racers, and is styled on the 1981 CB1100R...... The engine can be tracked back to the mid seventies If anyone is interested (and I doubt any of you are)....... www.hondacb1300.net/home.htmlClick on the above link. Click on the 'HISTORY OF THE CB1300'.....and you'll see a detailed hisory of the roots of the bike as written by someone called FLOOG

Read it, liked it. and the other one too. Likewise. It's good to see that FLOOG is taking as much interest and showing as much enthusiasm for Rhonda as he did Greta. That's yet another teriffic piece of well researched, well written typed work there FLOOG. What do you do in your spare time?

I think after all this time, it has gone from sensible modding....to insatiable fittling so i changed the Title :hmm: Now that's interesting..... That's why I angled this thread the way it started, 'SENSIBLE MODDING?'. I think the parts I've fitted all fall into the 'sensible' category of moding, as opposed to simple 'Bling factor' mods. A hugger and belly pan stop crud getting splattered and look neat too Engine crash posts very sensible as anyone who's had a spill will testify A centre stand, should be standard on any bike in my opinion A solo seat cowl, looks neat and I'll only ever ride solo. A scottoiler, makes yer chain last longer, reduces maintenance and improves power minimally due to optimum chain efficiency....... I also fancy Honda heated grips and eventually braided hoses, again sensible and practical...... So, I think 'insatiable' is an incorrect interpretation. Greta, yes, but Rhonda.....up till now, no

I would lkke to say my idea on that! I think it all looks great and makes the bike gleam!! Personnaly i do need the bellypan due to ground clearance,i do not need the stand due to extra weight and bulkyness i would use a scottoiler but found having used one before that you have to set them all the time also the space taken under the seat and the oil.All i would want is a powercommander a Akra full system and some new pegs which i could set the height on as my feet touch the ground when cornering. Thats what its all about different strokes for different folks and i love it that way!! :chicken:

:agreed: and at time of you first post, indeed they were all "sensible" . But , and this is only my opinion, (for what its worth) after the Belly pan, Crash bungs, Higher screen (when you fit it ), Rear hugger all very sensible and if not essential for you, and all riding on the roads in the UK. the center stand, although is very very useful (i wish i had one) i "make do" with a paddock stand, heated grips Ive ridden 30 years with out them, so sensible...? no, but just nice. Scott oiler..? a very good idea, and very practical if i were riding every day and had little time for day to day maintenance, but if i was that bothered about the wear of my chain, then i would think it "sensible" to be looking for a Shaft Drive. A Seat Cowl no no come on now, that is pure BLING, (and i might get one myself, cuz i like the look of it) it improves the look of the back end, (in some peoples eyes) no more. Braided Hoses... we talked about them in another Thread. So when you say "'insatiable' is an incorrect interpretation. Greta, yes, but Rhonda.....up till now, no I think you have passed the point already Mate. But I am in NO WAY knocking you for it, your a credit to Rhonda. ( is that debate enough for ya )
