Afternoon I'm true ZRX newbie, so new, I haven't even decided which model to plum for yet. I fancied the size of the 400 but wondered whether it would be under powered at all. I've never ridden one, just love the look especially in Lawson colours. Can anyone tell me if there are any larger Kawasaki motors I could transplant fairly easily or am I barking up the wrong tree Any suggestions would be most welcome, answers on a tenner..........thanks

You need to have a conversation with Jam, over on the ZRXOC site. Don't remember what engine he used, but he is in the process of building a 600 for his 400. Lots of challenges but it looks like he's at least begining to see the light at the end of the tunnel (and maybe this time it's not a train!)

I believe it was a motor from a ZZR 600 which really ought to be quick enough for a bike of that size.
The standard ZZR can top 150 mph.
