OK, let's have a show of hands. Lets see how many of you can actually remember the address to this site. Didn't think so. Neither can I to be honest. If it wasn't for the fact that it's in my favourites and my history I'd never find my way back. That's all well and good if you only access one PC at home. Actually remembering the addy is a big advantage if you have internet access from work or anywhere else for that matter. I've just opened an account at Freespaces.com, a web hosting service in the name of zrx_uk. Now, I've no immediate plans to build a whole ZRXUK website but what I have done is redirected its homepage to this one.
Try typing ht*tp://zrx_uk.freespaces.com (without the * in the http bit) into your web browser and it should open this homepage. It should of course be easier to remember too. EDIT: You can ignore all that now. Thanks to Renegade we now have www.zrxuk.co.uk as our very own domain name.

just discovered it works the other way round too, freespaces.com/zrx_uk still gets you here. I'm now hosting the gearing calculator there amongst other things and discovered the above by opening it from the host itself. That also avoids having the small ad showing. If anybody is looking at the idea of building their own website, freespaces.com may well be worth a look at as a host for it.

Why not buy the domain name > zrxuk.co.uk it's obtainable here >> ZRXUK.CO.UK £7.50 then use it to foreward to this URL

I have actually been looking into that and the freespaces.com addy was just an interim measure. There's also the cost of web hosting to go on top of that before it can be used for forwarding and that's the more expensive bit.

It's easy, you stay here with the hosting on here and foreward it, no extra cost to foreward to here. I do it with www.wsatc.com and www.rustysprocketmcc.co.uk . Both are hosted on my NTLWORLD webspace

:ten: Oustanding, all I have to do now is change all my bookmarks and favorites. No need if you don't want to. All the bookmarks that you have will continue to point to here so that shouldn't be a problem. I'll keep that freespaces.com account open as I'm already using its webspace to host the odd item for this site.
