It's been a busy few weeks for Hawk Kawasaki. Firstly they have teamed up with a new sponsor for the remainder of the 2006 season, BikeHQ, www.bikehq.co.uk. BikeHQ are the new online motorcycle market that is completely FREE to private users. If a client is wishing to sell their Motorcycle, then simply log onto BikeHQ, fill in the bike details, pictures and contact details and by a click of a button their bike is uploaded onto their site for sale. BikeHQ are celebrating their decision to sponsor Hawk Kawasaki by allowing Motorcycle Dealers to experience their service and extending their two month free trial period until the end of the year.
Commenting on the announcement Matt Cheek, co-founder of BikeHQ said "We’ve been receiving really positive feedback from the trade and this extension of the special offer lets those dealers that haven’t yet joined the BikeHQ party ‘suck it and see’ without any commitment. We realised that to get new dealers on board have to allow them to see the benefits for themselves."
On the racing front, Carl Rennie was once again riding the Hawk Kawasaki bikes at Kells Race Circuit, Ireland. The 36-year-old rider gained a fantastic fourth place in the Superbike race beating Road Racing regulars Adrian Archibald and Martin Finnegan. After briefly leading the Superbike race on the difficult Irish Circuit on the 05 Kawasaki ZX-10R the Lancashire based rider had to settle for fourth place, a very creditable result for him. Rennie was lying in fifth position in the 600 Supersport class before taking a wrong exit down a slip road forcing in back to 17th place. The talented rider is now preparing for his debut at the Ulster GP, 15th - 19th August for Hawk Kawasaki and he will be competing in all the classes, Superbike, Supersport and the Superstock races.
British Superbike trio, Dean Thomas, Craig Coxhell and Peter Hickman will all be attending the 'Arai Evening' on Wednesday 9th August at Northallerton in the run up to the British Superbike Race at Croft, 11th - 13th August in which all three riders will be racing. Arai, sponsors of Hawk Kawasaki have teamed up with the North Yorkshire Road Racing Club to host another one of their fantastic evenings at Club Amadeus, Northallerton. Ian 'Hutchy' Hutchinson who was the star of the show for Hawk at Oliver's Mount a few weeks ago will also be present. Doors open at 7pm, tickets cost £6 on the door. For more information call 01782 569800.
