Just a minor point.
I could be missing something, but it is hard to tell which forums have new posts. I'm using firefox as a browser.

I'm using Firefox myself but that's not the problem. I've just noticed the icons on the left of the front page. Those forums that are read/not posted in are marked with a black dot. New posts show up in dark blue and it is difficult to tell the difference for oldgits like us. I'll get it sorted, maybe by making the new post icon have a red dot. Cheers. Just spotted the oldgit emote isn't working either

Is there a way to have the previous posts that sit below the posting box when you are sending a reply to be organized so that the most recent post is at the top? 'Twood be nice. Since if I'm not quoting someone, I'm likely referring to something just posted, it would be nice to just scroll down a bit to see the latest post, rather than all the way to the bottom. Could be a lot of scrolling if the threads get longer.

I know exactly what you're saying lightspeed and it is a bit of a pest. I've not seen anything written down (yet) telling me how to work around this so In the meantime I've developed my own little workround for when replying without quoting. Quote the text anyway (click on quote insted of reply) At least you now have a record of what the last poster said in front of you as you formulate your reply. Before you submit your reply, simply delete the original quote like I just did.
