Today is my mum and dads Golden Wedding Anniversary. So as soon as the wife has finished ironing me shirt we are off to celebrate at a rather large family party. Please wish me luck cause as the oldest son I have to make a speach I have managed to get it down to about 50 minuets and only mention the Rex once. Hope you lot have a better day than me cause you just know a family gathering of this magnatude aint gonna go smooth. (well not in my family anyway).

I am happy and amazed to announce that all went well, in fact so well that I am quite happy to do it all again in another 50 years. My lovely speech was censored by my sister before I gave it to remove any mentions of cars, trucks or motorcycles, or any barbed comments about my brothers kids, so it only lasted 2 mins (which I am hurt to say seemed to be appreciated by the audience). The only really funny thing was that because everyone had travelled miles to get there and had to do the same to get home, the pub started running out of soft drinks. Thanks all for the words of support. ;D
