Somebody has suggested to me that the site name "Alternative Rexers" may not be such a good idea as it may sound confrontational to our friends on the OC. Somebody also didn't suggest what might be a decent alternative. It's a simple enough job to change the site name, this one came to me on the spur of the moment while I was busy registering the site with Proboards. Anybody got any good ideas.

Although I also like ZRX UK it sounds a little too close to ZRXOC which may look as though we are out to take over.
Eventually we'd like to see other makes of bike and other bikers in here for a more diverse point of view so anything without ZRX in the title would be most appropriate.

Sorry to sound like a plonker, but I am a bit concerned with this. The reason I joined the ZRXOC was to meet, learn from, banter with ZRX owners. Things were getting a little out of order with some of the bigotted views, and I thought this excellent new site was for the happier, friendlier, less confrontational Rexers to come and have fun again. If we lose any affinity, evenin the club name, by dropping the ZRX prefix, the club becomes a general bike club. Eventually there could be hundreds of sports bike owners, Fazers, Bandits etc, pushing out the original ZRX crew....with banter all related to other matters..... I love the fact that I can talk ZRX with like minded people, but that would be nullified by signifying that the club is anything other than ZRX related. If we drop ZRX in the title, and drop ZRX related club banner, we are just another bike forum....or have I missed the point entirely.... Sorry to be a pain, just my humble opinion Secondly, in announcing on the OC board that we exist, and sayind, 'come on over guys', what happens if some of the biggotted OC members join here? With all of these suggestions coming in and an influx of new members with new ideas it may be an idea to start a poll to sort this out.
Did you know we can do polls round here with up to 35 options?

That was one of the first things I read on coming over here to see what was going on. Grem: "Fazer, Bandit, Harley e.t.c. owners are welcome to join" So, What's it to be? I assumed this was to be a more open club with whoever and his brother joining in. If not then its just the same as the OC with out some of the members. Exactly! I'm not sticking up for them (Grem knows how I feel) but I think we need to know where its going.

Den Of Rexers Ok so there are problems on the other board , I amongst quite a few others got to the stage where you never wanted to start a post cus of the crap that came back . I thought the idea of this new site was to be a bit more informal . My own opinion of other make bike owners is not eliteist what we ride is not the best thing on two wheels etc etc. But if I wanted to discusss the best belt to fit on a softtail deuce Ide find a Harley board to ask . Just my opinion if ya wanna hit me big time then I'me moving to Hants .

No wonder the old board was so quiet last night, I must have missed something ref the biggotted rexers that seems to keep getting mentioned here its either that ,Or I'm going to be considered as one of those. I have agree with Kes about starting a thread on the OC site you try to post something that you think is a valuable nuggett of info for a fellow Rex owner and you get lambasted for it. Ah well we'll see how this goes . As an alternative name how about Splinter Rexers?

I thought the new clubs ethos was a friendlier version of the ZRXOC. I thought the happier, less confrontational members were being asked to come over to a place where we continue with the ZRX banter and don't feel intimidated every time we talk. As KES says, if we want to hear about Bandits, Fazers or BMWs and Harleys, there are any number of forums for them. If we lose the ZRX name, the ZRX photos on the heading boards, we just become another bike forum. I get that copnversation from the guy's at work with their R6's, Blades, Ninjas etc......that's why I liked the ZRXOC ethos so much and hoped this was a better version. That's my opinion and maybe I misread or misinterpreted the idea. What do you all think?
